Andoks Restaurant | A Review

Are you looking for budget friendly restaurants in Boracay that serve food for less than one-dollar? If YES, continue reading below.

Andoks D'Talipapa (beside Mang Inasal)

Andoks D'Talipapa (beside Mang Inasal)

Andoks is one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest, food chain in Boracay Island. Their famous 50-cent (22 Php) pork barbecue and the 52 Php  fried-chicken-and-rice combo meal are the two of my frequent favorites. It can’t get any cheaper than this!

Location: There are multiple branches in Boracay. Some stores are located along the Main Road, one is at D’Mall at Station 2, one is at D’Talipapa (the famous wet market where you can buy seafood and have it cooked on the nearby restaurants). Generally, they are all very accessible and the red-on-yellow signs are easy to spot.

Set-up: Open set-up with plastic chairs and wooden tables. Dining experience is not too bad if you go there from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. However, during lunch and dinner time, Andoks can get really crowded that some people even share tables with strangers. If you are looking for a comfortable place to eat lunch and dinner, this may not be the best place to go.

Staff: Basically like McDonalds where you go to the counter to order and pay for your food, the staff doesn’t mess around with the diners too much. During peak hours, most of the staff are grouchy.

Food Quality: Not too bad. I like their Pork Barbecue on stick (22 Php), Chopseuy or mixed vegetables (69 Php), Dokito Frito Rice or fried-chicken-and-rice-combo (52 Php), and their famous Original Jumbo Rottisserrie Chicken ( whole chicken for 250 Php).

Value for the Money: Very good considering the price. However, because food is too cheap, they can not afford to give you table napkins.
