GETTING A TOURIST GUIDE:

Arriving at Caticlan airport, there are Tourist Guides that charge about 400 pesos per person (exclusive of the guide’s transportation fees and tip) that can get you hassle free to your hotel. But if you don’t want to hire a tourist guide, here is a step by step guide on getting to you hotel from the airport:

  • So for 1 person: that would be approximately 400 pesos + 200 pesos (for the guide’s transportation) + 200 pesos tip = 800 pesos
  • For 2 pax: 800 pesos + guide’s transportation+ tip= 1200 Pesos

Trikes (or most commonly known as tricycles) are the primary mode of land transportation. You need to take a trike to go from Caticlan Airport to Caticlan Port (where the boats are located). The charge is per trike trip and not per person, meaning if there are 2 of you, you only need to pay for 1 trike. This five minute ride costs 50 Pesos per trike.

At the Port, you have a choice between an air conditioned Fast Raft (75 pesos per person) or a regular pump boat (50 pesos per person). This boat ride to Boracay Island takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

There are environmental fees (about 75 pesos per person) and terminal fees (50 pesos per person) you need to pay at the Caticlan Port.

At Boracay Island, you need to take another trike from the port to your hotel or resort. This costs about 100 pesos per trike (not per person).

Budget Summary for 1 person:

Trike (From Airport to Port): 50 Pesos/trike

Boat Fee (Fast Raft): 75 Pesos/person

Environment Fees: 75 Pesos/person

Terminal Fee: 50 Pesos/person

Trike (From port to hotel): 100 Pesos/trike
