How To Get to Boracay by Land

Twelve to sixteen hours on a bus traveling by land and a series of ferry transfers, the Strong Republic Nautical Highway, more popularly known as Ro-Ro is the cheapest way to get to Caticlan Port.
Ro-Ro is an acronym for Roll-on/Roll-off ferries that take buses from one island to another. The Ro-Ro Boracay Route is as follows:
- Manila to Batangas (2 to 3 hours by land)
- Batangas to Calapan, Mindoro (2 to 3 hours by sea)
- Calapan to Roxas City, Capiz (2 to 3 hours by sea)
- Roxas City to Caticlan 3 to 4 hours by land)
*Total Distance: approximately 703km from Manila to Caticlan.
*Total length of travel time depends on weather and sea conditions: 12 to 16 , or sometimes 20 hours
*Cost: 1,500 Php for Boracay Route from Manila (air conditioned buses). ~1,000 Php for non-air conditioned buses.
